Mama Bear Wicks is more than just candles and wax melts for me. This company created an outlet for my delayed postpartum depression, and anxiety after ending an abusive engagement. Having to be in survival mode while being a first time mom with a two-month-old. Truly took a toll on me mentally and physically. It was very intense for me the first year of my son’s life, and kinda still is sometimes. But I can manage it a lot better now! Once things settled down a little that's when the emotions of being a new mom came tumbling down. I felt a littleembarrassed oddly enough, I thought my window had expired. Not realizing I never truly went through the emotions of surviving domestic violence, giving birth, and the reality I once knew changing forever.  But once the dust settled it settled hard! I needed something that would bring me joy outside of mommy land.

 So, with that Mama Bear Wicks was born. I’ve always enjoyed candles and wax melts, but the ones from the big box stores would give me horrible headaches. So my research journey began. I tested and tested until I found the best nontoxic products I could find to make my home smell amazing. Eventually in August 2023 I mustered up the courage to introduce my brand to the world and I’m very happy I did! I’ve met so many amazing people along the way, and I can’t wait to see how my business will grow.

 My son (nugget) is 3 now, and is very active and keeps me alert! He gets to see a real genuine happy smile on mama’s face.  That makes me almost tear up considering how things first started out for us. I truly enjoy making each and every product, and nugget loves being my sniff tester!Each product is carefully tested to ensure safety. We strive to achieve a warm and cozy feeling with each creation. While keeping it fun and aesthetically pleasing  with random pops of colors.Thank you for taking the time to read my story and supporting my small business.
